Carroll “Wayne” Windsor

84, of Keller, TX, formerly of Macomb

Carroll “Wayne” Windsor, 84, of Keller, Texas, went into the arms of Jesus on June 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Wayne lived a life of purpose, generosity, and unwavering faith.

Born on August 18, 1940, Wayne spent much of his life in Macomb, where he worked diligently at NTN Bower for 41 years. His work ethic and integrity were unmatched, but it was his second calling—becoming an EMT later in life—that truly showcased his deep commitment to serving others. Volunteering his time to help those in need brought him great fulfillment and left a lasting impact on those he aided.

Wayne was a faithful and active member of the Macomb Church of Christ from 1957 until his move to Texas in 2018. His love for music and theater led him to many joyful years with the Macomb Barbershop Chorus, the award-winning barbershop quartet 'Pitch Hitters,' and the Macomb Community Theatre, where his talent and humor brought smiles to countless faces.

Above all, Wayne cherished his family. His greatest pride was being a grandfather and great-grandfather. Whether spending time at the deer lease with loved ones or simply sharing stories and laughter around the table, Wayne created a legacy of love, kindness, and strength.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Peggy Windsor; his daughter, Susan Windsor Porter of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Sydney Chapdelaine Puckett and her husband Chase, and Allie Chapdelaine, all of Keller, Texas; and great-grandson, Jaxon Puckett. He also leaves behind his brothers, Terry Windsor (Carol) of Bushnell, IL, Bertram Windsor (Carol) of Lecanto, FL, and Bruce Windsor (Linda) of Sugar Land, TX, along with many dear nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertram and Lois Windsor, one brother, and three sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Macomb, on Saturday, July 19 at 11am at the Macomb Church of Christ 850 W McDonough St In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Macomb Church of Christ in Wayne’s memory.
