Ada Louise (Bunch) Sparrow

Ada Louise (Bunch) Sparrow died at her home in Tampa, FL surrounded by her daughters on April 21, 2025. She was 99. Born in Roseville, IL in 1925, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. and Mildred (Parsons) Bunch, 2 sisters, Betty Jane Blair and Norma Lucille Fox, and 2 brothers, Robert Ervin and Charles Lee Bunch, and her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert G. Sparrow.

She graduated from Roseville High School (43) and received her B.S. in Business Education from Western Illinois University (47) and her M.S. in Business Education from Shippensburg University (71). She taught business education in Alexis and Tolono for 8 years before moving to PA and teaching an additional 22 years in the York City School District. She was a member of Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Shiloh Lioness Club, the College Club of York, and the ETA Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a life member of the York County PA Association of School Retirees and the WIU Alumni Association.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Marcia S. Huber of Tampa, FL and Cynthia J. Amundsen of Sun City Center, FL; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in York, PA on July 7 where she will be interred with her husband.
