MACOMB FARMER’S MARKET
The Mindful Mama
Devyn Denny is originally from Adair (now lives in Colchester) and attended both MHS and WIU. She is a brand new presence at the Macomb Farmer’s Market.
Devyn, a stay at home mom, has a background in working with children with learning disabilities and has worked as a case manager for the local Special Education Co-op.
Being a mom of two young children she likes to pay special attention to how they play. Thus came the name for her business , “The Mindful Mama”.
The focus of Denny’s new business is creating fun and unique “Sensory Bins” and non toxic play-dough kits for children who may be diagnosed, for example, with Autism.
Many of her kits have themes, such as fall, Halloween, construction, bugs & insects, gingerbread, Christmas, farm, coffee, Little Blue Truck, Valentines Day, Minnie Mouse, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter and summer.
Devyn started making her kits for sale at the end of September 2024. Right now, Farmer’s Market is her only regular venue. She has also signed up to sell at the Macomb Altrusa in November as well as the Sip N’ Shop event at the Carthage Lakehill Winery, also in November.
The Denny’s stay quite busy as her husband has a golf business and the couple has rental properties.
Devyn will take special orders for her sensory kits, stating she would like at least a week’s notice.
The Mindful Mama can make party favors and add favorite characters. Kits come in various sizes and play-dough in various sized jars.
Stop by and visit with this “Mindful Mama” and see how her innovative products might help your child or grand-child or classroom students.
Anyone wishing to talk to Devyn about her sensory kits or non-toxic play-dough can go through her business Facebook page or Instagram, both under The Mindful Mama. Or visit with her at her booth at the Farmer’s Market.
