The Bushnell United Methodist Church United Women in Faith have an outing each June. This year the group had a shopping adventure, first visiting the Heartland Bulk Foods store, also known as the Amish grocery store, near Cuba. Fresh-made baked goods, home-grown produce, and general merchandise were of interest to the ladies.
They shopped at the Harvest Sky Boutique, a beautiful new shop in Lewistown. Carolyn Hitchcock, owner of the Front Porch Soap Company in Lewistown, spoke to the group about her business and techniques in making specialty soaps. After shopping in the Front Porch Soap Company gift shop, the ladies traveled through the scenic countryside to the Bernadotte Cafe for a delicious lunch.
