Vickie Anne Hardisty

70 of Colchester

Vickie Anne Hardisty 70 of Colchester, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, peacefully in her home surrounded by family. Vickie was born January 9, 1955, in Macomb to Lyle and Shirley Logan Hickman. Vickie was united in marriage to Scott Hardisty in Macomb on July 2, 1992.

Surviving to mourn her passing is her father, Lyle Hickman, Colchester, 2 sons: Jason (Tara) Holt, LaHarpe, Michael (Brooke) Holt, Fowler, 1 daughter: Jana (Mitch) Vanbebber, Colchester, 12 grandchildren: Anthony (Brittany) Dooley, Kayla (Isaiah) Espinoza, Braxton (Brooklyn) Squier, Brooklyn (Dan) Louk, Hailey Holt, Logan Holt, Mason Squier, Dakota (Laylani) Shepler, Gracie (Tyler) Seccombe, Jordan (Donovan) Squier, Carter Holt, Cailer Holt, 15 great granchildren, 1 brother: Martin (Jennifer) Hickman, Normal, IL, 1 sister: Marla Brown, Colchester, and a large very loved group of extended family.

Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Hickman, and her loving husband, Scott Hardisty, whom preceded her in death October 14, 2022.

Vickie loved many things, some being horses, gardening, cooking, mushroom hunting, dancing with her husband in the garage, feeding her family, rock hunting, humming birds, deer hunting, crocheting and animals. Vickie also enjoyed searching for antiques. She was great at giving advice to people who needed it. Vickie loved life so much but nothing could compare to the love she had for her children, she valued her family more than anything.

Per Vickie’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester. Friends may sign the register book and view the pictures at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Friday June 20, 2025, then from 8:30 A.M. Saturday till 3:00 P.M. A private family service with burial will be held at Hutchinson Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are to Hutchinson Cemetery or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
