Macomb Area Chamber to Host Cybersecurity Workshop on AI

The Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce will host a cybersecurity workshop on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Spoon River College, 2500 East Jackson Street in Macomb.

The workshop, “Cybersecurity in the Age of AI: Protecting Your Business in a Changing World,” will be presented by Tahir M. Khan, associate professor in the Department of Computer Sciences and interim director of the WIU Cybersecurity Center at Western Illinois University.

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to change how businesses operate, it also creates new opportunities to improve cybersecurity and protect important information. Understanding these changes can help businesses make informed decisions, protect their data and create safer digital workplaces.

During the workshop, attendees will learn how to identify cybersecurity risks, understand how AI is changing online security and explore practical ways to protect their businesses.

Topics will include protecting private information, recognizing potential fraud and using effective strategies to keep business systems and data secure.

The workshop is designed for business owners, employees and professionals who want to strengthen their cybersecurity knowledge and take steps to protect their organizations as technology continues to evolve.

Admission is free for Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce members and $10 for nonmembers.

Registration is available at bit.ly/ChamberCyber. For more information, contact the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce at [email protected].
