The board of Macomb City Township Board discussed an Ordinance Leving Taxes for Macomb City Township on Monday.
The Levy discussed was set at PTELL rate of 2.7% increase. In monetary funding would equal $368,458.
Markley discussed the changes to the corporate fund to be increased by $3,924 and the general assistance to be increased by $5,019. She said the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund contribution would be reduced by $1,000 and the liability insurance fund would also be reduced by $1,000.
Markley said she would also increase the audit fee $1,000. A final action will taken at the next Township meeting, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 16.
City Township Assessor Glenda Bryan told the board change of assessment letters have been sent out. Bryan also said the deadline for any appeals is Nov. 10 and those applications for appeals should be turned in to the Supervisor of Assessments Office in the County Courthouse.
