What do you do on a day off from school?
On my day off, I went to Iowa. I got to eat at Pizza Ranch, and there was tasty food. I also got to go to Fun Station. There were slides, Rockwall's, trampolines, and an arcade! It was super fun. I enjoyed my weekend very much.
-Bohdi On my day off, I played outside and collected rocks to paint when I went back inside. When I got back inside, I painted the rocks and made a painted on a canvas of trees outside with a bird's nest on it. That is what I did on my day off. Mason B.
What I did on my day off was mostly going on trips, playing, and learning ahead in my classes. On the trip I went to Chicago and Spring Field. Also, I went to Veterans Park, and I learned a lot about WW2. On the trip I also went to the apple garden and got to see a pumpkin patch too. I saw something that blowed my mind. Someone put a pumpkin in a cannon and blasted it far away. Then, during the weekend I also played Soccer with many people and Baseball with my friends. All the games I worked hard and won every single one except for Baseball. Lastly, I studied a lot about Cells because I love science and I would love to learn more about it. I colored my coloring book, and I drew in my new sketch book. I love doing art, it is so fun and it lets me be creative. I love drawing because it makes me happy and it can show my personality. I do private art lessons with my old art teacher, I get to make cool pieces of art. Art is my favorite thing to do when I’m bored. Jaclyn M.
I spent a night at my friend’s house, and we had a lot of fun. We played volleyball and we worked on severing and hitting. Then we had to feed her cows and her goats. And I really enjoyed feeding them. After that we got ready and then we came to the school for an AGG practice we are doing. I came home and took a shower and then went to my sister's volleyball game. I was hanging out with my two third grade buddies. [I could not stop laughing.] That is what I did on my day off. Nora R.
On my day off, I shot my bow a lot. I took it to the bow shop, Crooked Creek, to adjust my peep sight. The peep sight is a little circle that you look through to see the sight. I also played catch with my brother. He wanted to use my bigger football, and he had a little trouble. But it was a lot of fun. Riley R.
What I did on my day off was practice for cross-country. I also slept because I had a long weekend of running. On the weekend I ran for sectionals and our team made it to state placing first in sectionals. I played, ran, and slept all during my weekend. Me and my teammates had a lot of fun at the sectionals. On my day off I was getting ready for the American Royal. Like washing my goats, working with them, washing my sheep, working him, feeding and haying all my sheep and goats, and packing for American Royal. This was challenging with such little time. I spent my day off drawing, scrolling, and playing games. I drew my own characters for the game I am planning for the future. I also to ideas for my character designs by scrolling on the art side of tiktok. Sal I was in Quincy the whole day. Then I came home and ran for 3 miles. Then I take care of my dog. I ran a mile to the farm. And take care of my brother's steer because he is in college. I also played games in the car for an hour. Zane H.
One thing I did on my day off was go fishing but we didn't catch anything and I played some video games I also rode my electric scooter around town I also got the new drink at burger king called the vampire bite drink and I also watched this movie called barnyard I also tried doing an all nighter with my cousin but we ended up falling asleep at 2:00 in the morning and the last thing i did was play on my cousins pc. One thing I did yesterday was carve a pumpkin. It was fun and the pumpkin looked funny and it was fun to carve a pumpkin. Then I played some games with my friends. But the best was walking to get drinks with my mom. So that's what I did over the weekend. Dax D.
One thing I did on the one day we went out on Monday was played outside. One thing I did outside was play football. I played football because I want to get better at football. One more thing I did was ride my scooter. I ride my scooter all over WIU and I am known on the WIU football team as the kid that rides his scooter. On my day off, I helped clean the house with my mom. I cleaned off my desk, wiped my desk off, and cleaned the shoe cabinets. I didn't realize how long it would take to clean the house alone but, luckily my mom, my sister, and I worked as a team. We were able to get the house looking clean in half the time it would take my mom to do it alone. Overall, I learned that cleaning the house is a big responsibility and it is easier for a team than a single person. Parker H.
