Hello Friends Another month has arrived and that inches us closer to the end of the year – how quickly it seems to have happened.
Although I am ready to kick this year to the curb, I am not wishing away my time. I’m trying to savor the season and enjoy each day as they come. I’m writing today with sunbeams coming in through my windows and it is just pure comfort.
I hope you are enjoying these days as well, they don’t last too long, but they warm the soul to make memories to relive in the future of our “remember whens”. This last week was Homecoming and the pictures of the “cleaned up kids” were a treat to see. I remember when our Homecoming was much more casual – sweaters and pants unless you were on court, then a bit dressier. The looks were the same, just at a different time for sure.

Harvest season is here – and time for some quick reminders! There is going to be increased traffic with farm machinery on the roads – PLAN ACCORDINGLY!!! Drive safely and defensively please! As fields are being cleared – our wildlife are running to find cover. Translated, that means the deer are running! Don’t be a statistic – watch for extra traffic in the form of wildlife during your travels.
“The paradox of life is that you’ll be judged whether you stand tall or stay small. Some will resent your courage, others your caution. Some will envy your success, others pity your failures. The common thread? None of it truly defines you.
The only judgment that matters is how you feel about yourself when you lay your head down at night. Did you live with honesty? Did you show up authentically? Did you grow in ways that felt right for you? That’s the measure worth holding onto.” – vex king Take some time the next couple of weeks and slow down and look around. It’s about to get holiday busy and you need to store up some energy for the whirlwind. Even if you don’t go all out for the holidays, others do and can push you while they are pushing themselves. The holidays don’t need to be picture perfect, but comfortable and peaceful with a bit of fun thrown in. Give yourself some grace and just try to breathe it in and enjoy the moments when you can but charge up those batteries in yourself before it hits hard – you will be glad you did!
Stay safe and kind - Robin
