The Macomb High volleyball team returned to the court at The Hangar Tuesday evening chalking up a 25-20, 25-14 Prairieland Conference South Divisions victory over Bushnell-Prairie City.
The Bombers never trailed in the opening set and there was only one tie, that coming at 2-2. But Macomb tallied the next five points and maintained control the remainder of the set against a game Spartan squad.
“The game plan for us was to be aggressive and to try different things because we thought we would have a little bit of flexibility in order to do that,” said MHS coach Marcy Lantz. “That’s exactly what we did.”
“We did make errors,” she added. “But I’m not upset about the errors because we were trying things that we know when we get to bigger, faster, stronger teams that we’ll be able to execute those sorts of things.”
“I think the first set especially was really good,” said B-PC coach Chloe Hickle. “We worked well together and we were pretty good at reading those swings and adjusting.”
