More than 200 area farmers will receive hot meals in the field next week, courtesy of the McDonough District Hospital Foundation.
The Foundation, working with MDH Interim CEO Wanda Foster, Foundation staff, and Board members, is delivering Harvest Meals to the Field for the third consecutive year. The staff of the Foundation will pack the meals, consisting of ribeyes, cheesy potatoes, and cobbler prepared by The Annex in LaHarpe. Then along with Foster and a few members of the Board, will deliver the meals directly to farmers in the field Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 6-7.
“This is our way of thanking our local farmers and better connecting our farming community with our local hospital,” said MDH Foundation Director Brittany Moore.
