With the calendar flipping to the month of October, now is the time to start planning for an annual flu vaccination.
By waiting until October, recipients will have longer coverage time into the later months of the flu season.
McDonough District Hospital will be offering flu vaccinations at several locations. Individuals need to bring their insurance card and ID. MDH will bill the patient’s insurance provider for the vaccination.
For those with no insurance or a high-deductible insurance plan, patients can pay by check or debit/credit card.
The cost is $55 for individuals under 65 years of age, and anyone 65 and older a high dose flu vaccination cost is $95.
