Memorial Hospital Recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Extended Mammography Hours

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Memorial Hospital is encouraging women throughout the region to prioritize their breast health and make time for their annual mammogram. To make scheduling more convenient, Memorial Hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Department will offer extended evening mammography hours every Wednesday in October, with appointments available until 6:30 PM.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as an important annual reminder of the value of routine screenings and early detection. Memorial Hospital hopes the additional evening availability will make it easier for individuals with busy work, family, and daytime schedules to fit this important screening into their lives.

As an added way to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month, every patient who receives a mammogram at Memorial Hospital during October will receive a gift from the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Throughout the month, Memorial Hospital will also share a special video series focused on mammograms and breast health. Community members are encouraged to follow the Memorial Hospital social media channels to watch the series and learn more about mammography, what to expect during a screening, and the importance of taking an active role in breast health.

Memorial Hospital encourages community members due for a mammogram to use Breast Cancer Awareness Month as a reminder to schedule. For more information about mammography services or to schedule an appointment, contact Memorial Hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Department at 217-357-8660.
