Memorial Hospital is happy to announce the addition of Ashley Frakes, AGACNP-BC, as hospitalist to its growing provider team. Frakes is an area local and looks forward to giving back to the community that she said has given so much to her.
Frakes brings with her a diverse background of clinical experiences. Her passion lies in acute care and internal medicine. Her many experiences in critical care have helped her on the path to becoming a hospitalist. Her education includes receiving her Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) credential from Northern Kentucky University in 2026. She received her BSN/ RN from Western Illinois School of Nursing in 2018.
“I try to continue to grow because healthcare is always changing and progressing,” said Frakes. “I am excited to work with all the amazing people that have cared for me and my children over the years. I also can’t wait to help those who live in the community I grew up in and to be a part of all the amazing things that are happening as Memorial Hospital keeps growing.”
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Frakes grew up in Blandinsville, Illinois. She still lives in the Blandinsville area with her husband and four children, including “a bonus child that checks in periodically.” Their family has five dogs, chickens, a duck and a cat. Outside of work, Frakes enjoy spending quality time with her friends and family, hiking, crafting, sewing, traveling, listening to music, and attending her local church services.
Frakes will work at Memorial Hospital. To learn more about Frakes, the hospital, and its services, please visit MHTLC.ORG.
