The Macomb High girls golf team wrapped up its regular season with a pair of meets.
On Saturday, the team played in the 42nd Galesburg Silver Streaks Girls Invitational at Bunker Links Municipal Golf Course.
The Bombers finished third out of 10 teams with a score of 387.
Moline High won the team title with a score of 355. Quincy High was next at 359, followed by the Bombers.
Orion was fourth at 394, followed by Galesburg (407), Geneseo (473), Peru St. Bede (493), Kewanee High (490) and Mercer County (531).
Monmouth-Roseville did not field a full squad.
Playing on the 5,302 par 73 layout, sophomore Taylor Mann led Macomb with an 84 in earning a fifth place finish.
Classmate Reese Watson also finished in the top 10 with a 91, earning the No. 8 spot out of 50 golfers in the final results.
Other scores for the Bombers included in the team total were from freshman Kennedy McGraw (104, 17th) and senior Aubrey Holthaus (108, 21st).
Rounding out the scores for Macomb were freshman Emma Rigg (111) and senior Mullen Butcher (114).
Meet medalist was Moline High senior Haley Robertson, who carded a 77, two shots ahead of Quincy High senior Alexa Mosley (79).
Galesburg senior Ella Herchenroder was third with an 80, followed by QHS freshman Elise Snider who shot an 82.
Prior to Saturday’s event, the Bombers headed to the Carthage Golf Club on Thursday for meet action against host Illini West and Rushville-Industry.
The host Chargers led the way with a 169, followed by MHS (185) and RIHS (219).
Mann led Macomb with a 41 on the 2,430-yard par 35 layout.
McGraw followed with a 44, with scores from Watson (46) and Emrey Seward (54) also counting toward the team total.
For Seward, it tied her career-best for a nine-hole match.
Also representing the varsity Bombers were Butcher (55) and Rigg (56).
Illini West’s Audrey Sullivan earned medalist honors with a 38.
Karissa Harrison topped RIHS with a 45.
The MHS varsity wrapped up dual meet play with a record of 11-7.
In JV play, Macomb posted a team score of 256.
Grace O’Hern led the Bombers with a 59. Holthaus and Lily Schmalshof both shot 63s, while Braelyn Powers recorded a 71.
The Bombers head to Kewanee Tuesday for Illinois High School Association Class 1A Regional competition at Baker Park Golf Course.
Joining the Bombers and the host Boiler Girls in the regional will be Abingdon- Avon (individual), Annawan/Wethersfield (individual) Biggsville West Central, Brimfield, Bushnell- Prairie City, Canton, LVC (individual), Elmwood, Farmington, Galva (individual), Knoxville (individual), Monmouth-Roseville (individual), Monmouth United, ROWVA/ Williamsfield and Stark County.
Members of the first, second, and third place teams advance to sectional play.
In addition, the 10 best scoring individuals that are not members of a qualifying team shall advance to the sectional tournament.
Advancing golfers will head to Valley View Club in Cambridge for Class 1A Sectional competition on Oct. 5.
Qualifiers from regionals in Galena, Taylor Ridge and Metamora also advance to sectional play at Cambridge.
