The Rotary of Macomb meets Tuesdays at noon at the First Presbyterian Church.
September 22, 2026 President Nick Knowles called the Rotary Club’s 13th meeting to order by ringing the Rotary Bell at First Presbyterian Church in Macomb. Nick delivered the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Steve Tibbitts reported that 26 members were attending in person or via Zoom, representing 49% of the club’s membership.
He introduced the guests: Thad Dohrn from WIU, the guest speaker; Tom Conklin, Rotary member from Farmington; Junior Rotarians Carter and Mullen; and Nora, our Rotary Exchange student from Budapest, Hungary.
During Happy Money, three Rotarians shared highlights from the previous week. In the 50/50 drawing, John Corson held the winning ticket but drew the 8 of Hearts instead of the 9 of Hearts needed to win the $200-plus prize from the 25 remaining cards.
