Brian Edward McIlhenny, 57, of Macomb passed away at 4:11 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at his residence.
He was born on April 23, 1969 in Burlington, IA to Ronald and Phyllis Pfadenhauer McIlhenny. He married Tammy Lallathin on June 27, 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Tamy McIlhenny; his children Emilia McIlhenny of Hartford, CT, Jacob (Makayla) McIlhenny of Quiincy and Jacelyn McIlhenny of Macomb; one grandchild, Enora McIlhenny of Quincy; one brother, John (Tess) McIlhenny of Des Moines, IA and one nephew, Andrew (Daisy) McIlhenny of Burlington, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Brian lived in Macomb since 1991. He attended Western Illinois University graduating in 1993. He worked as a supervisor of the water distribution plant from 1997 until 2024 when he retired.
He was a member of the Crossings Church in Macomb and a former member of the Macomb Church of Christ.
He was involved in doing ministry for inmates at the McDonough County Jail for several years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be determined at a later time.
