The West Prairie High School volleyball team upped its win streak to eight, while Bushnell-Prairie City is still looking for its first victory following recent action.
Tuesday evening at Elmwood, West Prairie beat the host Trojans 25-17, 25-21.
Stats for the Cyclones included the following: Alyvia Barkley – 7 service points including 4 service aces, 6 digs and 2 kills Lilly Sheffler – 6 service points including 2 service aces, 8 digs Niah Zimmerman – 6 digs and 6 kills Josie Hodges – 16 set assists Payton McGrew – 6 kills Madison Adams – 2 kills West Prairie improved to 13-6 on the season.
The Cyclones were scheduled to host Camp Point Central on Thursday before playing at Mendon Unity on Sept. 28.
Meanwhile the JV squad will play host to its annual invitational tournament on Saturday.
As for B-PC, the Spartans lost at Abingdon-Avon Tuesday evening 25-22, 25-17 Kendyl McCleery – 5 kills and 6 digs Jules Kreps – 3 kills and 4 digs Justice Klinedinst – 2 kills and 8 digs Hazel Farwell – 2 kills Brynlee Beekman – 6 digs and 10 set assists Aubrey English – 6 digs Mylee Chenoweth – 8 digs Mariah Taylor – 5 digs Back on Sept. 17, B-PC lost to host Rushville-Industry 25-6, 25-15.

It was the 48th straight loss for the Spartans dating back to the 2024 season.
