Since defeating Canton, Mo. 2-0 at Quincy, the Macomb High boys soccer team has been winless since.
After losing to host Quincy High on Aug. 29, weather issues forced matches against Illini Bluffs/ Farmington and Galesburg to be rescheduled.
In addition, the team’s scheduled home match against Limestone was also canceled due to the heat.
The Bombers finally returned to the pitch on Sept. 7, playing at Canton, dropping an 8-1 decision.
MHS trailed 5-1 at the half.
Two days later the team headed to Galesburg, losing to the SIlver Streaks 7-1 in a match the Bombers trailed 3-0 at halftime.
On Sept. 16, MHS headed to Monmouth to face host Monmouth-Roseville with the Titans recording a 7-2 victory.
Macomb trailed 3-1 at intermission.
MHS returned to the home field Monday, losing a 7-2 decision against visiting Beardstown.
The Tigers (7-3-1) prowled their way to a 7-1 halftime advantage.
The Bombers scheduled match at Kewanee High on Sept. 15 was postponed and rescheduled for Oct. 6.
The match against Illini Bluffs/Farmington has been rescheduled for Oct. 12.
Macomb returned to action Wednesday, playing at Jacksonville High.
The Crimsons improved to 10-3 on the season with an 8-0 victory.
The Bombers (1-7) return to action on Sept. 28 when they are scheduled to host Quincy Notre Dame (2-11).
