The Macomb High girls tennis team took part in the eight-team Streaks Invitational held Saturday at Art Fish Courts in Galesburg.
McHenry and Geneseo posted a team high 10 points each. Limestone was next with six points, followed by Macomb and United Township (East Moline) with four each.
Host Galesburg High and Rock Island Alleman finished with three points each and East Peoria had two points.
Singles results for the Bombers included the following: No. 1 - Addison Mccurry, Galesburg H.S. defeated Sophie Hansen, Macomb, 6-2, 6-2.
No. 1 - Joyce Newman, Limestone defeated Hansen, Macomb.
No. 2 - Gianna Acri , Alleman defeated Isabella Gage, Macomb, 6-2, 6-1.
No. 2 - Annabelle Betcher, Geneseo defeated Gage, Macomb, 8-4.
No. 2 - Gage, Macomb defeated Ying Chen, Galesburg H.S., 8-0.
Doubles results for the Bombers included the following:
No. 1 - Elanah McFadden and Taylor Baldi, Macomb defeated Hanifa Ouro Gnao and Victoria Reid, United Township, 2-6, 6-2, 10-4.
No. 1 - Kendyl Wassenhove and Stella Smith, Geneseo defeated McFadden and Baldi, Macomb, 6-1, 6-2.
No. 1 - Grace Lawson and Kaiya Mudd, Galesburg H.S. defeated Baldi and McFadden, Macomb, 8-4.
No. 2 - Briana Freund and Sophie Vazquez, McHenry defeated Maria Bice and Deena Mangalaraj, Macomb, 6-3, 6-1.
No. 2 - Bice and Mangalaraj, Macomb defeated Zoey Coers and Grace Millman, Alleman, 8-0.
No. 2 - Bice and Mangalaraj, Macomb defeated Avery Mehaffy and Adi Jackson, East Peoria, 8-3.
The Bombers were scheduled to return to action Monday, hosting Jacksonville High.
The team is scheduled to face Kewanee High at Kewanee on Wednesday before battling Moline High Friday at Moline.
