The Western Illinois University School of Music will host two upcoming faculty and ensemble performances free to the public at the COFAC Recital Hall.
On Monday, Sept. 21, trombone professor Dr. Jett Walker will present a faculty recital titled “Trombone and Piano, Sans Piano” at 7:30 p.m. The performance is dedicated to the life and legacy of former WIU faculty members Drs.
Hugo and Maurine Magliocco.
Walker’s program features works by Brian Sadler, Aliyah Danielle, Malcolm Arnold, David Fetter and Jack Wilds.
He will be joined by tuba player James Land, a brass quartet featuring trumpeters Nicole Gillotti and Ryan Ford with horn player Evan Goodson, and the WIU Trombone Choir conducted by Kayelee Stockdale for Giacomo Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma” from “Turandot.”
