On Saturday, Sept. 12, the residents south of Edison School were treated to a lively parade from the Macomb High School Marching Bomber Band, an honor granted to the neighborhood with the highest donation total during the band’s recent March-a-Thon fundraiser.
Following the parade, the band gathered downtown to present a free community concert in front of Macomb City Hall, thanking supporters for their generosity and encouragement of the program.
This year’s March-a-Thon raised over $5,600, which will go toward the purchase of new beginner band instruments.
The Macomb Bomber Band extends heartfelt thanks to the entire Macomb community for making the fundraiser a success, and special appreciation goes to The Music Shoppe, this year’s corporate sponsor.
