“Some strong winds, cooler temps and spitting rain made for not ideal conditions, but the boys played through it,” said West Prairie coach Blake Denney. “The boys are starting to put some things together and getting used to playing competitive golf. We are excited for the remainder of the season.”
Sophomore Landon Ferguson topped B-PC, finishing 40th with a 105 (48-57).
Classmate Alex Kohler was 41st (51-56107), followed by sophomores Dylan Franko (49th, 58-69-127) and Oliver Leigh (50th, 62-69-131).
Sophomore Aiden Denk was 52nd (7667-143), while freshman Ryker Ferguson was 54th (83-85-168).
“I saw some great things,” said B-PC coach Tyler Snyder. “This was our first 18 hole match and the first match for some of them.”
“I look forward to, not only helping, but also watching all of them continue to improve this year and in the future,” he added. “This match gives us a starting point to work from and all of them the experience of how tough the mental grind is with the game of golf.”
