
Darren DeBold, 56, of Blandinsville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at his home following a short illness.
He was born January 7, 1970, in Macomb, to Robert “Bob” DeBold and Charlene Breiner Wilson.
Darren was a graduate of Northwestern High School. He worked for Macomb Rental for 20 years while also owning and operating DeBold Construction. Darren was a master of his trade, with a talent for carpentry and concrete work.
Darren was happiest when he was golfing, hunting, boating, or spending time in his garage sharing stories and laughs with friends and neighbors. He will be remembered for his craftsmanship, his love of the outdoors, and the many stories and memories he shared with those around him.
Survivors include his mother, Charlene; two brothers, David DeBold and Doran (Diane) DeBold; two sisters, Robin DeBold Huffman and Lisa DeBold Pope; and five nephews, Jarrid Yard, Landon Yard, Joseph DeBold, Colby Yard, and Loren DeBold.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” DeBold, and his sister-in-law, Vicky DeBold.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private burial of ashes will be held with family at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Blandinsville Hire Fire Department or Twin Oaks Country Club in Blandinsville.
