Macomb, West Prairie And B-PC Boys Golf All See Action

The Macomb High and West Prairie varsity and JV boys golf teams battled in dual meet competition Wednesday at the Macomb Country Club.

In varsity competition, the Bombers defeated the Cyclones 162-194.

Eli Griffith topped the Bombers with a 39 on the par 35 layout.

Luke Chapla was next with a 40, followed by Cohen Anderson (41) and Sam Helling (42).

Kollin Knupp and Ryker Allensworth rounded out the MHS scores, both finishing with 45s.

Holden Coplan and Ethan Percy paced West Prairie with 46s. Max French and Braden Coplan followed with 51s.

Brant Starbuck shot a 52 and Tyson Carnes 53 for the Cyclones.

In the JV competition, Macomb recorded a 201-207 victory.

Owen Leinbach and Lauren Young topped the Bombers with 49s. Brady DeWeese was next with a 50, followed by Nolan Schmidt with a 53.

Other scores for the Bombers included Logan Lambert (54), Wyatt Patton (54), Bentley Karlinski (57), Miles Douglas (58) and Peter Gottwald (58).

For West Prairie, Cade Chambers led the way with a 43. Keegan Siemans was next with a 52, followed by Mason Whitman (54), Landon Porter (58) and Matt Whitman (60).

Meanwhile, at Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club, Bushnell-Prairie City faced LVC and Canton in meet competition.

LVC topped the field with a 165, followed by Canton (196) and B-PC (222).

Landon Ferguson led the way for B-PC with a 47.

Dylan Franko was next with a 54, followed by Alex Kohler (60) and Aiden Denk (61).

Rounding out the B-PC scores were Oliver Leigh (68) and Ryker Ferguson (72).

The Bombers will take part in the Redbird Classic Friday and Saturday at Weaver Ridge Golf Club in Peoria and Coyote Creek in Bartonville.

On Monday, MHS, West Prairie and B-PC will take part in the Prairieland Conference Meet at the Macomb Country Club.
