Spend and Spend and Spend ... Taxpayers on the Hook
Here we are. Just shy of the sixth year of the MAGA takeover. Many questions about this so-called America First agenda beg answers.
Many Americans believed Donald Trump’s bombastic promises. But now we all need to ask, Republicans and Democrats alike: Has this latest radical right-wing incarnation of the Republican Party been a success? Have they indeed made us great again? And if so, for whom, and in what ways?
I think we can all agree that corporate America, after two major tax cuts, is far better off. Likewise, millionaires and billionaires continue to post massive gains. Throw in the Bush tax cuts, and a couple wars, and guess what? The heretofore balanced budget GOP our national debt to $40 TRILLION. And counting. The 1 percent who own 50 percent of the wealth in the stock market are thrilled.
And yet hunger for more. We little people are supposed to wait patiently for it to trickle down to us. The overwhelming majority. We - the real taxpayers - are on the hook for $1 trillion a year simply to pay the INTEREST on that debt. That’s $1,000 BILLION. Tax and spend liberals? How about Spend-and-Spend Republicans?
And you thought this great realtor would run the country like a business? I guess he has. HIS business.
Now do we think that this president and his billionaire cronies in his handpicked cabinet are concerned? As concerned as they are with the “hot” new gold in the Oval Office? The ceaseless gilding of our national monuments in DC? The state-of-the-art helicopter pad shuffling friends and dignitaries so effortlessly to their cocktails? How about the botched Reflecting Pool? The “donor-financed” ballroom? That cool cage match and NASCAR race? How great is that, huh?
In November we must all ask: Are we better off than two years ago? Is this vast profusion of half-trained ICE agents on our streets and ICE detention centers actually making us safer? Making us great again? To the tune of some $200 BILLION?
Seriously folks. This is our chance to send a strong message of disapproval.
The government is our creation. Our Constitutional prerogative.
Remember Trump’s promise in June 2025? He proclaimed that food AND energy prices will be “cut in half” within 18 months of his inauguration. And how about that war in Ukraine that our world-famous dealmaker insisted that he would end with a PHONE CALL. A “perfect” phone call.
You, my fellow taxpaying Americans, are blessed to live in the greatest democracy in the world. The greatest country in the world. And I say that as a country hating antifa communist Democrat. I implore everyone to get out and early vote to put the brakes on this madness. Walk or get a ride to your local courthouse and exercise that Constitutional right to vote. Early voting begins Sept 25. Let’s not get bullied!
