Bushnell Town & Country Fall Festival Highlights
The Annual Bushnell Town & Country Fall Festival kicked off Thursday evening with the parade featuring Brian and Carol Holland as Grand Marshals. The theme this year was the '250th Birthday of the USA' and no one displayed that better than Farmers and Merchants Bank in the parade and on their decorated windows. The Unforgettables, Captain Geech and Mad Hoss Jackson drew huge crowds to the East Park Thursday through Saturday nights. On Saturday, the Antique Car Show was held in East Park, along with the famous Pie and Cake Auction. Even though there were slightly fewer pies and cakes, and sadly missing a few major donors this year, the Bushnell community turned out, and perhaps in their memory, set a record of $38,100. It was an overall success for the carnival, the participating clubs and organizations, and the entire community.
