The Macomb High boys golf team finished fifth out of eight teams at Friday’s Monmouth-Roseville Titans Invitational held at Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth.
The Bombers posted a team score of 328.
Quincy Notre Dame captured the top team honors with a score of 289.
Peoria Richwoods was next at 303, followed by Dunlap (306), Peoria Christian (320) and MHS.
Following the Bombers in the team standings were East Peoria (351), Illinois Valley Central (378) and host Monmouth-Roseville (473).
Sam Helling led the Bombers, finishing 12th out of 48 golfers with a score of six over par 77.
Cohen Anderson was 19th with an 82, followed by Eli Griffith (25th, 84) and Luke Chalpa (28th, 85).
Ryker Allensworth was 32nd with an 88, while Kollin Knupp was 39th, finishing with a 98.
QND senior Harper Hough captured medalist honors, finishing with a score of two under par 69.
The Bombers were scheduled to play in the Limestone Invitational Monday at Coyote Creek Golf Course in Bartonville.
On Wednesday, the team will host Quincy High and Monmouth-Roseville for varsity and JV competition at the Macomb Country Club.
The following day, the Bombers will host Galesburg for varsity and JV play.
