B-PC, West Prairie And MHS JV Golfers Battle at Meet

The Bushnell-Prairie City High School boys golf squad hosted West Prairie and the Macomb High JV squad in meet competition Thursday afternoon at Shaw Creek.

The Macomb JV topped the field with a score of 199. West Prairie was next with a 214, followed by B-PC with a 225.

Macomb’s Brady DeWeese was the meet medalist, carding a 44. B-PC’s Landon Ferguson and West Prairie’s Keegan Siemens followed with 48s.

Lauren Young was next for MHS with a 49, followed by Sawyer Thomas and Nolan Schmidt, who shot 53.

Rounding out the scores for the Bombers were Owen Leinbach, Miles Douglas and Logan Lambert, who allcarded 55s, and Bentley Karlinski (57).

For West Prairie, Brant Starbuck was next at 54, followed by Cade Chambers (55) and Matt Pittman (56).

Other scores for the Cyclones included Max French (57), Landon Porter (60), Mason Pittman (66) and Paxton Ford (69).

Dylan Franko carded a 50 for B-PC, followed by Alex Kohler (56) and Aiden Denk (71).

Rounding out the scores for the Spartans were Oliver Chambers (76), Ryker Ferguson (77), Oliver Leigh (80), Charles Rudolph (81) and Finley Hess (84).

The Cyclones opened their season Aug. 18 with a triangular match at Scripps Park in Rushville where Pittsfield won with a team score of 155 followed by the hosts at 178 and West Prairie carded an 183.

Tyson Carnes led WPHS with a 45 while Braden Coplan, Holden Coplan and Ethan Percy each carded a 46. Keegan Siemans had a 52 to round out the scoring.

Rushville-Industry’s Hudson Brubaker was the meet medalist, carding a 35.

B-PC was scheduled to return to action Monday, heading to Wee-Ma-Tuk in Cuba to face host LVC.

West Prairie was also scheduled to return to action Monday, hosting Biggsville West Central at Twin Oaks.
