Pivot’s community impact program donated $2,500 to the YMCA of McDonough County in Macomb, IL as part of $350,000 it contributed to Illinois nonprofits Pivot Energy, a leading national renewable energy provider and Independent Power Producer, is supporting the Macomb community through a $2,500 donation to the YMCA of McDonough County. The donation to YMCA is part of Pivot's community impact program, which has contributed $350,000 to Illinois communities across the state where Pivot develops and operates solar projects.
The YMCA of McDonough County offers programming and services for all ages including fitness facilities, childcare, summer camps, wellness programs, youth sports, before and after school programs, and aquatics at an affordable rate for all families.
Nick Knowles, CEO of the YMCA of McDonough County, noted, “This donation from Pivot Energy helped more families across the county access summer programs and by keeping day camp and other activities affordable.

Beyond direct community contributions, Pivot’s 22 operating solar projects in Illinois are expected to generate approximately $5.7 million in property tax revenue over the next 40 years. Those dollars will provide a long-term source of local revenue to help fund essential public services, including schools, roads, emergency services, and public safety.
The company is also committed to dual-use agricultural practices, such as sheep grazing, at all its qualified projects, creating opportunities for family farmers and graziers while contributing to soil health and preserving the land.
