The Macomb High School Marching Bomber Band will hold its annual March-a-thon on Saturday, August 29, from 9:30am to 12:00pm. Members of the drumline and color guard will perform short marching demonstrations in three Macomb neighborhoods: south of Edison School, Meadowbrook, and Georgetown.
Band members, joined by parent volunteers, will go door-to-door collecting donations during the performances. The neighborhood with the highest donation total will receive a special parade performance by the full Marching Bomber Band and color guard on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 3:30 p.m. Proceeds will help purchase much needed beginner band instruments.
Residents in participating neighborhoods may leave donations in an envelope taped on their front door for pickup on Aug. 29. Donations can also be mailed to Macomb Band Boosters, PO Box 816, or made online at https://square.link/u/aoX2t3Nz. Please note which neighborhood you are supporting.
On Sept. 12, following the neighborhood parade, the band will present a free concert at 4:45 p.m. in front of Macomb City Hall, as a thank-you for the community’s continued support.
