Dementia Signs, Awareness & Fraud Education Program Set for Aug. 26
Join the Alzheimer's Association and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for a program on two critical issues facing older adults and their families: Alzheimer's and senior scams. The event, open free to the public, will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26 at The Lamoine in downtown Macomb.
The session, led by Todd Lamison of the Alzheimer's Association and Don O'Brien of the BBB, will focus on the Alzheimer's Association 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimers, along with the BBB's guidance on spotting – and avoiding – senior scams.
'Through real-life examples and practical tips, you'll game a better understanding of how to recognize changes in memory and thinking, while also learning how to protect yourself and your loved ones from financial fraud,' Meghan Westergreen, director of business development at The Lamoine, said.
