Darrell Allen Haber

 

Darrell Allen Haber, 74 of Rushville, IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Rushville Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Rushville.

He was born August 30, 1951, the son of the late Allen Thomas Haber and Barbara June Corey Haber.

He married Ruth Ann Krohe on November 6, 1976, in Beardstown, IL. She survives along with a son, Stacy Haber (Amy) of Arlington Heights, IL, daughter Carrie Lemons (Jeremy) of Rushville, IL, and son Will Haber (Anthony) of Toledo, Ohio; two sisters, Marcia Mahood (JB) of Fort Meyers, FL and Sherry Schafer of Fort Meyers, FL; four grandchildren, Kailin Wright, Maddy Haber, Colton Haber and Emmett Lemons; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sheryl Schnepper; brothers in law, Phillip Schafer, David Schnepper and Bob Mahood, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Darrell was a semi driver delivering for Kent Feed and from 1978-2017 worked at NTN Bower in Macomb, IL. Darrell farmed in his spare time. He graduated in 1970 from Rushville High School. He was a member of the Appaloosa Horse Club.

Darrell enjoyed his Appy horses and Longhorn cattle. He enjoyed life when he was on his tractors farming. He especially enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren, family, and family dog Bear.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Charla Meyers officiating. Interment will follow at Serrot Cemetery in Rushville. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, August 10, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Memorial is suggested to the National Kidney Foundation.
