McDonough Power Cooperative Awards Operation Round-Up Grants

McDonough Power Cooperative’s (MPC) Operation Round-Up program gives cooperative members the opportunity to support meaningful projects that make a difference across the communities served by MPC. By rounding up their monthly electric bills to the next highest dollar, participating members help fund local organizations doing incredible work. Thank you to everyone who participates and to our Operation Round-Up Trustees for making these grants possible.

2026 Operation Round-Up grant recipients: Macomb Little League Association received $2,500 for its Investing in Youth: Batting Cage Project. This grant will help develop and construct the Future Sluggers Multi-Field Batting Cage Project—a permanent outdoor batting cage facility that will enhance youth baseball and softball opportunities throughout Macomb and the surrounding communities.

Memorial Hospital Association received $2,500 for its Youth Wellness Initiative. In partnership with West Prairie South Elementary School in Colchester, this structured after-school program will help students build healthy habits through regular physical activity, nutrition education, and access to healthy foods.

Special Needs Athletic Program – Warren County YMCA received $1,000 to purchase adaptive sports equipment designed for accessibility, safety and sensory appropriateness.

The program serves 84 athletes who participate in 11 different sports throughout the year.
