At Monday evening's McDonough County Law & Legal Committee, members were expected to vote on a resolution for a moratorium on data centers in McDonough County. If passed, the temporary moratorium on any data center and high-impact technology facilities in McDonough County will be in place until August 2028. The resolution moves to the full board for consideration and approval at its Aug. 19 meeting. Board Member and Law & Legal Committee Member Ken Durkin brought the resolution to the table.
On the Macomb City Council agenda for Aug. 3, aldermen were set to consider an ordinance annexing land at 1050th road and Maple Avenue, adopting a resolution of support and commitment to local funds, selecting a vendor for a new playground at Chandler Park and authorizing an additional design of Chandler Park streetscapes.
