Pamela Kay (Plassman) Ladd Teslow 74, of Macomb

Pamela Kay (Plassman) Ladd Teslow, 74, of Macomb, passed away peacefully at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Pam was born on May 2, 1952, in Macomb, to Thomas Lee and Barbara Joan (Moon) Plassman. She graduated from Macomb High School in 1970, where she formed friendships that remained among the greatest blessings of her life. Her classmates, especially lifelong friends Deann Kipling Gamage, and Barb Miller Knox, held a special place in her heart. Following high school, she attended Western Illinois University.

On July 11, 1992, Pam married Richard H. 'Rich' Teslow in Macomb. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and unwavering support for those they cherished.

Pam dedicated more than forty years of her career to the automotive industry. She began working at Mac Ford Lincoln Mercury, the dealership owned and operated by her father, and later continued her career with Woodrum Automotive. Along the way, she developed countless lasting friendships with coworkers who became like extended family.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Pam, found her greatest joy in her family. She served as both a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and volunteered as a girls' softball coach, always giving generously of her time to encourage others. Nothing brought her greater happiness than her grandchildren. She rarely missed one of their sporting events or activities, proudly cheering them on from the sidelines and celebrating each of their accomplishments with genuine pride and excitement.

Pam is survived by her loving husband, Rich Teslow of Macomb; her daughter, Libby (Seth) Shelton of Bonita Springs, FL; her son, Lucas Ladd of Macomb; six beloved grandchildren, Jackson, Barron, and Ella Schaller, and Ethan, Kelly, and Carlee Ladd; her sister, Debbie Horney of Macomb; her nephew, Nick (Lisa) Plassman; and her nieces, Jessica (Travis) Lee and Linzie Horney Ruppel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Barbara Plassman; her brothers, Steve and Scott Plassman; and her son, Andrew Teslow.

Pam will be remembered for her kind heart, steadfast friendships, quiet strength, and unconditional love for her family. Whether supporting her children and grandchildren, sharing time with lifelong friends, or offering encouragement to those around her, she had a remarkable way of making people feel loved.
