Women of ISP: A Career Pathway Event

The Illinois State Police (ISP) will host 'Women of ISP: A Career Pathway Event' to highlight career opportunities for women in law enforcement and public safety. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, women account for about 14% of full-time sworn officers and 11% of first-line supervisors in local police departments. ISP is committed to increasing the number of women serving throughout the agency.

The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and is open to the public at locations in Belleville, Orland Park, and Springfield.

Attendees will have an opportunity to meet ISP personnel, hear about their career experiences, ask questions and explore career opportunities in patrol, criminal investigations, forensic science, telecommunications, crime scene services and other specialized fields.

Participants also can learn more about the agency's Academy and Training, Division of Patrol, Division of Criminal Investigation, Division of Forensic Services, Division of Justice Services, Statewide 911, Division of Internal Investigation and Office of the Director.
