The YMCA of McDonough County will be offering a bit different way to travel in 2027; in a small group with a tour all about getting closer to culture. Exploring Old World Sicily and Malta is scheduled September 18 thru September 29, 2027. Visit Italy in a unique way! A special travel presentation is scheduled for August 26 at 5 p.m. in the YMCA Senior Center.
Travelers will still get picked up in Macomb for their round-trip transport to the airport, one of the stress-free things about traveling with Collette and airfare is included. Another great feature of Collette travel is the option to have friends or relatives join the tour from other places!
The tour will start on the island of Malta where travelers will spend four nights in Sliema, a lively resort town on the waterfront promenade.
A ferry ride will deliver explorers to the island of Sicily where a stop at a seaside town will offer a tasty breakfast and a visit to a local farm before settling in for a three-night stay in Ragusa. Many of the places that will be visited are UNESCO sites.
