Macomb, home of many important potteries, will be the site for the fourth Annual Collectors of Illinois Pottery and Stoneware Swap Meet. The event will be held on Saturday, August 1 on the east side of Chandler Park. Meet hours are 8 a.m. - noon but some will arrive much earlier. There will be an appraisal and information booth for you learn more about pottery which you may have. President Chris Jonus also plans to be present with his book, “Macomb Ill’s Potteries and Stoneware a Pictorial History and Reference Guides”. There will be a four-gallon Buckeye Pottery jug with the stag mark for anyone to bid on. There will be collectors, dealers and traders at the meet. The event is free. Come out to Chandler Park and meet some great people and learn more about the potteries of Macomb.
