At the regular monthly meeting of the McDonough County Board Wednesday evening, the Board approved repairs made to the existing surface to County Highway 3, also known as N 950th Road, located west of Adair.
The work will be completed by United Contractors Midwest in conjunction with the resurfacing of TR Route 249 (N950th Road) under the current Camp Creek wind farm road use agreement at a cost of $158,879.
The Board also adopted a resolution for the Illinois Emergency Management Mutual Aid System Agreement, which provides that any one or more public agencies may contract with any one or more public agencies to perform any governmental service, activity or undertaking. The resolution outlines the best interest of McDonough County to enter into the agreement for mutual aid for emergency management and protection of life and property from an emergency or disaster. Equipment, emergency management staff and/or emergency services provided pursuant to the agreement will be at no charge to the party requesting aid (any expenses recoverable from third parties will be equally distributed).
In other business, the full Board received the recommendations and discussions from the various Board committees. At the Finance Committee meeting earlier this month, State Attorney Matt Kwacala requested a payroll budget adjustment of approximately $48,000 to hire a third assistant state's attorney for his office. Heidi Baier joined the office in June.
