Mary M. Ford, 99, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 12:35 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Oak Lane Nursing Home in Stronghurst, Illinois. She was born on May 4, 1927, in Terre Haute, Illinois, to Charles Perry and Rose (Allen) Perry.
Mary married, Paul E. Ford, on May 4, 1951, in Macomb, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2001. Together they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years.
Mary worked as a homemaker and in retail sales. She was a member of Good Hope Methodist Church and was known for her caring spirit, devotion to her family, and the kindness she extended to those around her.
She is survived by her children, Ron Rouse of Good Hope, Illinois, Steven (Roseanne Morin) Ford of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Gary (Tam) Ford of Adair, Illinois, Lana (Larry) Finch of Burnside, Illinois, Randy Ford of Good Hope, Illinois, and Neal (Donna) Ford of Sciota, Illinois. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Perry, Joe Perry, Lawrence Perry, Ray Perry, Kenneth Perry, and Lloyd “Swede” Perry; daughter-in-law, Naomi Rouse; grandson, Brian Rouse.
Mary will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her quiet strength, and the lasting example of compassion and generosity she shared throughout her long and meaningful life.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday July 22, 2026 at Good Hope Cemetery. Rev. Jim Eddy will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday July 21, 2026 at Dodsworth Funeral Home.
