The Gazebo Art Festival (formerly called Art in the Park) has been going strong in Chandler Park for 55 years, with this year's event scheduled for 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12. The application deadline for artists and vendors is this Friday (July 17).
The Gazebo Art Festival artist's application is $65 for one person and $105 for shared booth space. Applications can be found at the Prairie Hills RC&D (prairiehillsrcd. org/gazebo-art-festival.html), which has taken over the fiscal sponsorship of the event. In addition to artists' applications, food vendors and children's activity volunteer applications are also available on the website.
Artists of any medium (printmaking, jewelry, pottery, photography, weaving, etc.) are welcome to display their original works. In addition to children's activities, Dean and other committee members will be offering activities and programs during the event for all ages.
