The West Prairie District #103 Board of Education met in special session July 8, to act on three issues. After the opening of the meeting, the Board retired to closed session. Upon return, the Board took the following actions:
• Accepted the resignations of Jennifer Henry as junior/senior high business teacher; Audrey Kennelly as a pre-K teacher and Zoe Waggoner as junior high softball coach.
• Approved a resolution authorizing and directing the sale of 19.4 acres of the Sciota campus. Sealed bids must be submitted by Aug. 3, with a minimum bid of $100,000.
• Approved on a 5-1 vote to turn over a parental complaint of a district employee to the district complaint manager(s).
