When I walk around the Macomb square, which is often, I beam with pride. The vision is now realized with the corner flowers all in bloom. It is so fitting that Macomb highlighted the fact that WE ARE the birthplace of Monopoly. The square delightfully showcases that fact.
Every time I hear the clock tower chime it takes me back to 1981 when I bought my first house in Macomb. I love that the stores display our high school graduates and leave them up for a good long time. Makes me proud to call Macomb home.
It makes my blood boil to hear of our murals being defaced or bull dogs damaged. I give the “dogs” a pet as I walk past to symbolically bestow a blessing of protection. Hoping to keep Macomb beautiful and safe.
