Marilyn Reeves age 88, of Tennessee, IL., passed away at 5:14 PM on June 23rd, 2026 at the LaMoine in Macomb. She was born on April 13, 1938 in Colchester, IL. The daughter of Jesse and Gladys Hawkins Porter She married Richard Reeves on October 20th, 1956. He preceded her in death on January 7th, 2010.
She is survived by two sons Michael (Karen) Reeves, and Alan Reeves both of Tennessee, IL; 4 grandchildren. Chastity Reeves, Michael Reeves, Rylie Reeves and Taylor (Doug) Burford; 7 great grandchildren, Bailey, Crenshaw, Brianna (Weston) Fowler, Blaine Root, Braelyn Reeves, Hadley Burford, Maddox Burford and Ainsley Burford and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents., husband, 13 brothers and sisters, and her dog Rio.
Marilyn and Dick owned Dick’s Lounge in Tennessee from 1961 until 2001. They opened up Countryside Mobile Homes Auto and Storage in Colchester, Illinois in 1995. Marilyn served on the Tennessee Village Board for many years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved spending time with them.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29th, 2026,at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb, IL. Graveside services will be held. on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Macomb, Reverend Jim Clayton will officiate. Memorials may be made to the HSMC new animal shelter. The family would like to give special thanks to the Lamoine and the Everly House for their great care of Marilyn.
