Judy K. Foxall Johlfs, 74, of Macomb passed away 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her husband and niece.
She was born on March 23, 1951 in Macomb, Illinois to Ray O. Foxall and Frances Pauline Pollock Foxall. She married Roy L. Johlfs on December 7, 1992 in Macomb at Wesley United Methodist Church. He survives.
She is also survived by step-son, Craig (wife, MJ and grandson, Julian) Johlfs of Greenwood Village, Colorado; sisters, Linda Smith (Fred) of Bushnell and Diana White of Macomb; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Russel Johlfs; sisters Nancy Rittenhouse and Rita Vos; brother, Ronald Ray Foxall and nephews, Nicholas Foxall and Steven Waughtel.
She lived in Moline, Illinois and worked as a legal secretary for the law firm of Califf, Harper, Fox and Dailey for 17 years. After moving back to Macomb in 1992, she worked as a legal secretary for McDonough County Public Defender’s office. Judy retired early and enjoyed taking care of her home. She attended classes at the YMCA in Macomb for many years and was very proud of keeping her house clean.
Judy and Roy enjoyed spending their time together and doing many of the same things: drinking coffee, walking, doing puzzles, reading, watching movies, eating pizza, and working in the yard of their home, Judy was an avid reader.
Judy was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb at a later date. Interment of ashes will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital or local food pantries.
