Illinois Separation Movement
In regard to the article from Tri States Public Radio dated June 18, 2026, regarding our County Board seeking voter input on Illinois Separation Movement. As a resident of Macomb I am appalled & extremely displeased with the fact that our elected officials even think this is a good idea; this is an extremely terrible idea. Breaking away from Illinois is NOT the answer, what is the answer? Who knows the answer yet this isn't the answer; we must leave Illinois as is & in the same shape it is in.
