William R. Reynolds, 37, of Macomb, Illinois passed away at 6:53 pm Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his residence.
He was born August 25, 1988, in Moscow, Idaho to Roger E. Reynolds and Dianne Kelso Reynolds Peterson.
William is survived by his father Roger Reynolds of Seattle; mother Dianne (Ed) Peterson of Macomb; sister Jacquelyn Reynolds of Seattle; aunts Jalane Herndon of Adair, Illinois; Sharon Kelso of Macomb; Joy Kelso of Caldwell, Idaho; Beth Reynolds of Metamora, Illinois; cousins Pam (Diane Mayhew) Kelso, Libby (Troy) Heaton, Debby (Lee Tait) Herndon, Jim (Shelly) Herndon all of the Macomb-Adair area; and Jamie (Kenny) Jensen of Frazier, Colorado.
William also had many friends and other family members in Moscow, Idaho; Seattle; Colorado Springs; and Macomb.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Keith and Peggy Kelso of Bardolph, Illinois, and Ervin and Verlee Reynolds of Metamora, Illinois; uncles Bill Kelso of Macomb; Hodge Herndon of Adair; Scott Reynolds and Gary Reynolds of Metamora, Illinois; aunt Nancy Reynolds Burr of Aurora, Colorado; cousin Scott Kelso of Macomb; and special aunt Mary Alexander of Caldwell, Idaho.
William enjoyed a full and active life centered around his many interests and the people he loved. He was an enthusiastic Special Olympics athlete, excelling in the softball throw and earning numerous medals for his accomplishments. He found great fulfillment in volunteering at Wesley Village and valued the friendships he made there. A lifelong music lover, William rarely missed an opportunity to attend the concerts on the Macomb Downtown Square. He enjoyed playing the guitar and drums and was excited to be learning the keyboard. Among his greatest companions was his cherished cat Stormy, whose loyalty and affection brought him much happiness.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial service will be held later this summer.
