After eight years of experience gained at Menn’s Firestone in Carthage, Illinois, Aaron Kost decided that the time was right to become his own boss. On June 1, that became a reality with the launch of Kost Tire Service in rural Plymouth.
Although his location is rural, that’s not a factor for his business. “I go to them,” Kost said. “I’m committed to keep them rolling.”
In this case, “them” is most often farmers in the fields or the big trucks on the roll. Because he is centrally located, Kost said that his projected service area will be fairly wide ranging.
“I’ve been to Hancock, McDonough, Schuyler and Adams counties plus Lee County in Iowa,” Kost explained. He expects that this will continue in the launch of his new business.
In fact, it’s fairly likely that he already knows numerous of his potential customers in his service area. “There’s probably no place that I would not go,” he said.
He said he’s fully equipped to meet customers’ needs and ready to roll. As an important addendum, he said that he and his wife, Hannah, are a team for the business.
