Stephen J. Pfeifer, 56, of Macomb, Illinois passed away at 6:47 PM Wednesday May 13, 2026 at his residence. He was born April 6, 1970.

Stephen is survived by his parents, Ted and Pam (Pfeifer) McGaughey of Macomb, Illinois; two brothers, Aaron Bishop and Kiel Branchfield both of Macomb, Illinois; two step brothers, Clint McGaughey of Macomb, Illinois, and Jerry McGaughey of Havana, Illinois; one stepsister, Angel Markley of Macomb, Illinois.

Stephen spent 25 years working at Macomb Auto Body Parts, where took great pride in his work. He also had a deep compassion for animals, and his love and care for them was evident throughout his life.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Dodsworth Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday June 20, 2026 at the Macomb American Legion. Memorial contributions can be made to the McDonough County Animal Shelter.
